Slow-Cooked Crock Pot World’s Best Ham Recipe

Are you ready for the best ham of your life? I know, that’s an easy question to ask. But are you READY to face the World’s Best Ham? You should try this recipe and find out. Incidentally, not only is this recipe for the World’s Best Ham, but it also qualifies for the World’s Easiest Recipe.
Here is what you’ll need to create the World’s Best Ham:
- Brown Sugar – about 2 cups
- One large uncooked Ham (Picnic), bone-in
- One Crock Pot slow cooker
- That’s it!
To start, layer about a cup of brown sugar at the bottom of the crock pot. If you are really fussy, you may wash and rince the ham. I usually use a ham 8 to 10 pounds, but any size will do, as long as it fits in the slow cooker. If the lid doesn’t close, take the lid off and cover the ham with aluminum foil, as tightly as you can.
Before you do that, layer a healthy dose of brown sugar over the top of the ham, then cover it.
Start the crock pot of “low” for 8 to 10 hours.
That’s it, there is nothing more to it than that! I warn you though, you WILL have trouble removing the ham from the slow cooker in a single piece, and the chances are good that you will be able to remove the bone with little more than your fingers and minimal strength.
This makes for a lot of ham. If you’re not able to eat it all in about a week, I suggest taking what’s left and grinding it up in the food processor. This will make for some delicious sandwiches, let me tell you!
Enjoy, and all praise be to the Ham!
